When left untreated, leprosy can lead to wounds and deformities. However, leprosy can be fully cured with a few months of effective drug treatment. If treatment begins early, most individuals will not experience the severe complications associated with the disease. Leprosy Relief Canada is an International Humanitarian Organization that is a member of ILEP, the International Federation of Anti-Leprosy Associations. Leprosy Relief Canada aims to restore health, hope, and dignity to people affected by leprosy.
